WHAT TO EXPECT ON THE DAY
- Authentic Malaysian dishes – Cook a range of traditional and modern Malaysian recipes.
- Hands-on cooking experience – Work alongside our expert chefs in a fun and interactive class.
- Fresh ingredients & spices – Learn the secrets to balancing Malaysia’s famous sweet, sour, spicy, and savoury flavours.
- Perfect for groups & team building – Great for corporate events, private bookings, or a fun catch-up with friends.
- The experience lasts approximately 3 hours, including eating time
MALAYSIAN COOKING CLASS MENU
- Nasi Lemak – Malaysia’s national dish! Fragrant coconut rice served with sambal, crispy anchovies, peanuts, boiled egg, and cucumber.
- Char Kway Teow – Stir-fried flat rice noodles with prawns, egg, bean sprouts, and a rich soy sauce blend.
- Beef Rendang – A slow-cooked, coconut-infused beef curry bursting with deep, aromatic flavours.
- Roti Canai with Curry Sauce – Learn to make this flaky, crispy Malaysian flatbread from scratch.
- Kuih Dessert Selection – Traditional Malaysian sweets made with coconut, pandan, and sticky rice.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS
We cater to vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free diets. Please email us at hello@otaokitchen.com.au at least 7 days before your class to ensure you requirements are cater for.
RESCHEDULING & CANCELLATIONS
- More than 14 days before the event: One complimentary reschedule, any subsequent date change $49pp.
- Within 14 days from the event: Changes allowed only for medical reasons (with a certificate) and incur a $49pp admin fee.
- Within 7 days from the event: Changes allowed only for medical reasons (with a certificate) and incur a $78pp admin fee.
- No refund or reschedule if you arrive late, leave early, or cancel due to bereavement, injury, or illness (consider travel insurance).
- If unwell, please consider sending someone in your place.
ARRIVAL & LATENESS
Please arrive 10 minutes early to ensure you get the most out of your experience. We’re unable to accommodate late arrivals or repeat instructions, as this would impact the experience for other guests who arrive on time.
