The masterclass is conducted by the UK based and Malaysian born award winning chef, Norman Musa. The recipes are taken from his latest cookbook ‘Bowlful – Fresh and Vibrant Dishes from Southeast Asia’ and his best-selling cookbook ‘Amazing Malaysian’. It is a hands on class where the guests cook all the dishes, after the demo for each dish by Norman.
Towards end of the class, participants can sit down to enjoy the dishes cooked. This would be a perfect class for anyone who wants to enjoy the late lunch or dinner with family and friends cooking in a lively atmosphere, guided by Norman.

KALIO CHICKEN CURRY
Pieces of chicken thighs cooked with lemongrass, galangal, chillies, turmeric, coconut milk and kaffir lime leaves
STEAMED SEA BASS WITH ASIAN DRESSING
Fillet of sea bass steamed and served with dressing made of lemongrass, ginger,
garlic and chillies
YELLOW COCONUT RICE
Rice cooked with coconut milk, lemongrass, spices and turmeric

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
- Norman Musa's Masterclass makes a great experience for your next: Work Party, Birthday party, Anniversary, Hens Party, Bucks Party, Team Building Cooking Party, Work Lunch and Dinner or Corporate Launch Event from 6-40 people. We are able to cater to dietary restrictions with advanced notice.
- Norman has a busy schedule so please let us know if you are requesting a group cooking class with the chef and author while he is visiting Australia in March. This is one off event, you can not book a new date with the same class, you can only reschedule to our other class.
- For rescheduling made more than 14 days prior to the event, there is no charge to change to your new date to another class. After the first date change, there will be $49pp per date change. For rescheduling made within 14 days prior to the event, we can only accept that you are being sick with a medical certificate, and we will still charge $49 for administration fee.
- No refund or reschedule will take effect (1) if you fail to arrive at the venue at the time stipulated, (2) if you voluntarily leave your class after it has commenced, (3) if you need to leave the event for reasons of bereavement, injury or illness. Travel insurance and medical insurance are therefore strongly recommended.
- In the event that you are unwell, we ask that you send someone in your place. The participants who are not unwell will still be expected to attend.
- Lateness: please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time of the class. We cannot accommodate or refund for those who arrive after the scheduled start time, even if you call ahead. The instructor will be expected to start on time and will not be able to repeat the health and safety and/or demonstrations at the beginning of the class.

ABOUT NORMAN MUSA
Born in Penang, Malaysia, Norman moved to the United Kingdom in 1994 to study Construction Management (Quantity Surveying). After graduated with Honours, he worked as the surveyor for 9 years before switching his career to a full time chef. His first restaurant was opened in Manchester in 2006 and York in 2012, followed by two more in Malaysia in 2014 and 2016.
In 2010, Norman joined Formula One Lotus team as the race chef which embarked his vision to promote Malaysian cuisine to the world..
He was featured in Masterchef Malaysia, BBC’s Tom Kerridge Best Ever Dishes and Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch and has been in numerous magazines in UK and Malaysia.

He was appointed as the Kuala Lumpur Food Ambassador in 2015 by the KL Mayor to promote Kuala Lumpur as the gastronomic city to the European market. He curated the KL Big Kitchen Festival, the foodie festival and handpicked the local and international chefs to run cooking demonstrations and cookery classes.

In October 2018 he collaborated with the Wah Nam Hong Supermarkets in the Netherlands to launch the new restaurant 'Wah Nam Hong Restaurant by Chef Norman Musa' at Westfield Mall of the Netherlands.
In January 2021 he was appointed as the Adjunct Senior Lecturer by Taylor's University in Malaysia to run online lectures for their students.
He teaches Malaysian & South-east Asian cuisines at the top cookery schools in
the UK and Netherlands.
Norman was appointed as the Executive Chef of Kuala Lumpur Restaurant in Leeds on 1 Jan 2022.
His new cookbook 'BOWLFUL- Fresh and Vibrant dishes from Southeast Asia' is out now!
Norman is currently based in Leeds, UK and split his time between Leeds and London working on various consultancy projects.
