Otao Kitchen’s NDIS-friendly group cooking classes offer a welcoming, hands-on experience where you can cook, learn, and enjoy delicious meals together. Our NDIS-funded social cooking classes are designed to enhance independence, improve daily living skills, and encourage community engagement in a safe, inclusive setting.

ON THE DAY
- Duration: A 2-3-hour interactive cooking session with expert chef guidance.
- Step-by-Step Instruction: Learn authentic recipes through a chef-led demonstration.
- Hands-On Cooking: Work collaboratively with fellow participants to prepare the dishes
- Skill Development: Focus on knife handling, meal prep, texture balance, and healthy eating.
- Support Worker Assistance: Bring your NDIS-funded support worker to help with shopping, preparation, and cleaning for maximum learning benefit.

How to Book & Use Your NDIS Funding
- ✅ Self-Managed Participants
- Book online & choose "Pay by Invoice" at checkout.
- Receive an invoice for easy reimbursement from NDIS.
- ✅ Plan-Managed Participants
- Email us your details at hello@otaokitchen.com.au, including:
- NDIS Participant Name & Number
- Plan Manager Contact Details
- Class Details (Date, Location, Support Worker Info)
- We will invoice and get paid your plan manager directly.
- ✅ NDIS Support Worker Ticket
- If your support worker is cooking alongside you, they will need a ticket.
- Use Category 4 funding (Assistance with Social & Community Participation).

Important Information & Policies
- Cancellations & Rescheduling
- 14+ days before event: Free rescheduling or 50% refund of deposit.
- 7-14 days before event: No refund of deposit, rescheduling allowed.
- Within 7 days: No refund; full charge applies.
- Confirm Final Numbers & Dietary Requirements – At least 7 days before your class.
Other Packages
- Social Cooking Classes $354pp – Join a fun, interactive group class and meet new people. Small class, private class and social support worker can join and help.
- Masterclasses $197pp – Learn to cook international dishes in a structured, chef-led experience. Cooked in pair so social support worker needs a ticket.
