TAKE THE TRIP TO JAPAN
Japan is one of the most fascinating countries in the world, but getting close to real Japanese food, people and culture can be a challenge. Our Japanese chef in Melbourne is helping you embark on special, unique, memorable experiences just like Japanese visiting home town. Join Chef Tamaki from Osaka to visit her Japanese heritage and culture with a focus on Japanese foods. Where history and modernity meet, you explore insights into a colorful and fragrant land of Japan. Our ultimate Japan food tour is for travelers looking to indulge in mouth-watering culinary delights all whilst immersing themselves in this amazing Japanese culture and landscape amazing food found there. Japanese food is all about freshness, and you only really get to experience this when you are out in the countryside – dockside sushi, freshly shucked oysters, crisp tempura. And that is exactly what we do on the Japanese Gourmet Food Tour.CHEF TAMAKI
OTAO kitchen features Chef Tamaki for our Japanese cooking experiences. Tamaki and her husband will lead your tour to her country of birth. Tamaki was born and raised in Osaka and obtained her Chef qualifications in Melbourne Australia. Tamaki’s passion is food. She loves creating amazing dishes that simply make people smile (and want more of course). But her heart has and always will, remain with the exquisite dishes found in the Japanese culture. What really annoys Tamaki is that many of the existing cultural tours of Japan, simply don’t show its ‘true food culture’. To the Japanese, the places the tourists are eating in are a bit like going to a fast food take away. That is why Tamaki has launched her gourmet food tours because she wants to show you all the hidden treasures and allow you to indulge in some of the most exquisite culinary delights that Japan has to offer and that no one else knows about, except the locals.
